The Best of the Contrarian Press
Tuesday, October 10th, 2006The CT is edited by a bunch of working stiffs - people like you. Blokes who fit pipes, fix telelphone lines, grind coffee, and spend hours each day writing for news weeklies and city magazines. In sum, we don’t have gobs of dispensable income or time. Much of our travel is vicarious.
Our crack staff prowls the web - night and day - for the “The Best of the Contrarian Press.” Here is one of our favorite recent pieces… about a hot new contrarian destination in North Central Africa.
This week we recommend a piece, in Forbes magazine, about the Touareg artisans in Chad.

This is actually not Chad, sources in Darfur say. The tribespeople pictured below are, however, members of the Touareg tribe, named after the VW car.
